What Makes Wind?
Objective :
The surface of Earth doesn't heat and cool evenly. Some places heat up more quickly and cool off more slowly. This difference in heating and cooling causes warm air to rise in some places and cooler air to sink in other places. When warm air rises it creates areas of low pressure and where cool air is sinking it creates areas of high pressure. The air from the areas of high pressure will flow into areas of low pressure to replace the air that has risen and create wind. Wind is air flowing from areas of high pressure into areas of low pressure.
